Additional Information : The GPS antemma is mounted to the top of the
: Suurupi lighthouse. The description is
: following: there is two metal plates - upper
: and lower, both 10 mm thick. The lower metal
: plate is bolted and welded to the upper part
: of the cupola of the lighthouse. Three vertical
: tubes are welded to the plate, connecting two
: metal plates (upper and lower). Punched metal
: pieces are welded to the tubes supporting an
: upper plate. The upper metal plate is bolted
: to the metal pieces. Also a metal ladder is
: connected to the upper plate. The upper metal
: plate has holes for fixing the tripod. The ends
: of the tripod were threaded, which made it
: possible to screw the tripod to the platform
: with female screws. The tripod was provided
: also with lift screws to ensure the horizontal
: position of the antenna. The upper part of the
: tripod consists of a triangular metal plate
: with a hole in the middle for the bolting of
: the antenna.
